I am currently reading: The Fault in Our Stars…. By John Green

It’s about a girl who has cancer. Her name is Hazel. her mum thought she was depressed so she made Hazel go to support group, where she met many other people who also have cancer. One week when she goes to support group she sees a guy. At first Hazel disliked this guy, she thought he was rude and unkind by when she got to know him she fell in love. Augustus is his name.

 

 

 

 

 

The book I am reading is called: One for the money.

The author of my book is: Janet Evanovich

I like this book because its funny, interesting and amusing. its about a little girl (she starts off little) how she lives in new jersey, her  name is Stephanie plum. she lives two blocks away from this boy called Joe morelli. when you get into the story a bit, Stephanie goes to her parents house for dinner. on her way there she comes across a guy that she went to high school with. Lenny Gruber Stephanie bought a car from Lenny, and Steph hasn’t paid him back. so he was going to take away her car when she was at her parents house, anyway Stephanie managed to keep the car for a few more weeks. so she drove off to her parents house.  In the street that her parents live in they eat pork roast almost every night and they eat at exactly 6:00. Stephanie’s dad was angry at her because she was 7 minutes late to dinner!

My questions:                                                                                                             Does Stephanie like pork roast?                                                                              Does Stephanie like Joe? (even as a friend)

The book I am reading is: What happened to goodbye

This book is: enjoyable, funny and interesting

A character in my book is McLean she is sweet and is little overwhelmed by her mum and dad splitting up and how she now has half twin brothers. She doesn’t really know where she stands. She travels a lot with her dad going to new places and every time she goes, McLean creates and name and personality for herself. In this part of the book she is Liz “the party girl”. If I had one question for Liz/ McLean it would be why does she change her name and personality every time she changes towns.

My connection would be to a movie called wild child where she is very naughty and does bad things. ( Liz does the same)

I like how the author wrote the book based what happened to her when she was young.

I predict that she will go to the fountain school instead of Jackson high.

I rate this book 7/10 and would recommend it to others!

 

 

 

 

 

 

The book I am reading is called “the Gallipoli story”

The author of the book I am reading is”Patrick Carlyon”

This book is very factual and interesting

A character in my book is general Sir Ian Hamilton, he has been a soldier for forty-two years and is 62 years old he is a very important character being the commander in chief of the Gallipoli ground force. He is a very calm man, but very instructive. I like him because of how he will never leave a man behind as he said in my book!

I can make a text to text connection because on the project the other night the were talking about WW1 in 1914, how it has been 100 years since WW1 began.

I like how my book is very informative since I have been reading this book, one thing I dislike would be how they speak about the other countries. I know that this book was written in 2000, but today I know that I would never say anything bad about other countries.

This book is a little hard to predict because its about the war and I cant predict what would happen.

But I would recommend this book to anyone who would like to learn about WW1.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Doubting Tomas

I am currently reading a book called Doubting Tomas.

The author of this book is Morris Gleitzman.

I like this book because it is funny and odd.

Morris gleitzman has written many books including the book Blabber Mouth which i have read.

I would recommed this book to others.

i rate this book an 8/10 because its funny, i understand it and love to read it.

what i am visualising                                                                                                                     A class rooom with children, a teacher that has glasses and is wearing a nice dress. Darryn Peck making a big deal about the new girl, Rowena.

Some questions I want to find out about?                                                                                                                                                    why was darryn being rude to rowena?                                                                                                                                          why did she write the letters for the kids in the  class?                                                                                                                                               why does she want to pretend she’s at her old school?                                               what smelled very badly in the cuboard?
