Recount

Today after recess the majority of the school went into the GP room to watch a play about cyber-bullying. It was called Cyber Busters. We learnt about Cyber Bullying and how sometimes people don’t even know if they have been a victim or a bully. We discussed many things, such as: what to do when and if you are being cyber-bullied, how many people don’t know what to do when and if they are being cyber-bullied and also how some-times people pretend to be a certain person or a certain age to be friends with you. Two performers performed a hilarious (in my opinion) play about the effects of cyber-bullying and what to do if you are being cyber-bullied. The two actors acted out scenarios when cyber-bullying occurred and how your friend CAN take it as a joke when no-one else is around. As soon as you put something online they could get upset. If you are being cyber bullied remember to …….

  1. Tell a trusted adult such as: your parents/guardian or a teacher that you trust.
  2. Show proof of what’s happened.
  3. Do Not respond to the person
  4. Block the bully
  5. Change your number

If it goes any further tell the police.

Also don’t forget that cyber-bullying is a crime!
