Footy day recount
Yesterday the 10th of September was footy day at school. I like the idea of footy day it gives everybody a chance to show off their favourite footy teams.
At 9.00 we had a footy parade. I must say that there wasn’t as much Essendon supporters as there was a few years ago. Anyway in my opinion there were more Carlton and more Hawthorn supporters, then a few years ago. So that was interesting to see that the amount of hawthorn and Carlton supporters has increased.
Anyway after about half an hour later. We had Italian like 5/6c’s normal timetable. We continued on with our regione projects then went to art. (Like normal) in art we continued with our normal activities it was funny because we hadn’t had art for about 3-4 weeks so Mrs P told us that we were not going to start the third activity that she had planned for us.
The recess bell went and we all went outside. My friends and I played markers up with the football considering it was footy day! (Lol) 😉
Then Miss K came and asked if she could have some helpers to assist her with the hot dog lunch orders. So I and a few others went to help her.
We took the little buggy and wheeled the hot dogs and the juice boxes over to the aftercare room. Apparently I am not a very good buggy puller!
Next we had reading groups. It was fun yesterday because we were allowed to go on to our footy teams website and choose an article then we had to take notes. It was actually fun. In my opinion.
Next we had activities with the Strathmore students I saw my old next door neighbour Renee. I gave her a big hug because I hadn’t seen her in years or months (so long I can’t remember) we practice running, kicking, tackling, handballing, passing and agility. It was very fun I also saw a person from my little athletics centre. His name was Patrick.
At lunch time we got hot dogs for lunch I had two and then bril and I walked around the school and talked for a bit. The hot dogs were nice though!
The last hour we had better buddies. We practiced for our performance that we are doing on the 17th of September. We sang a song altogether with our prep buddies called “the more we get together”. The preps got to hold their purple better buddy bears. While the grade sixes held up the posters that we made on the qualities of a buddy.
I had a lot of fun on footy day I hope the rest of the school enjoyed it too. And thanks to the teachers, school leaders and parents that helped out yesterday!
